why would you bother giving me -rep for saying what I said? figure it out bud
your use of a thesaurus is great.. but all that aside, fine maybe you have a point
but the ipad will still sell whereas all those other products are failed attempts and waste of money
but you should seriously chill out and not take things so hard, you don't see me giving you negative rep for expressing your opinion

He didn't give a neg rep for the statement of opinion. I'm pretty sure it had to do with a lack of knowledge. And "whereas other products have are failed attempts and waste of money" is pretty much... wrong. Although tablet PCs aren't mainstream, they definitely aren't failed attempts. Did you not see HP's month-long advertisement of their all-in-one tablet PC? It was a pretty big hit and I'm fairly sure that it can't be considered a waste of money - it's just for a different taste.

But everything Apple touches is gold, so that's why this'll take off. I'm sure the other companies aren't complaining though, this will definitely bring more attention to the tablet laptop/computer market.

To be honest, I guess for a company like Apple, you can't expect much from them, being the first time releasing a tablet.
First of all they are already a huge success from their iphones and Macbooks and ipods, and I mean yeah they messed up the ipad but you can only hope they keep improving it.

Thinking back in the ipod mini...it wasn't impressive at all compared to the ones that are out now. But it's because there are better tablets out there that makes the Apple one look bad. If Apple was the only company with a good tablet i'm sure everyone would want it.

But yeah..lol I guess they'll improve it, hopefully. I'm sure they're already getting an earful about how much it sucks anyways.

This is the thing that is getting the iPad a bad name. It really isn't a tablet PC, it's more of an eBook reader that can connect to 3G through AT&T and also has all the other features that an iTouch or iPhone has.

If people would put it in the eBook category, then it is much better then the kindle since you can't just connect on the go and get a book to read. And you have all the other features that comes with it. But since people are putting it with tablet PCs there really isn't buzz worthy with the iPad, since it can't compete besides have Apple to its name.... =/

That being said, I still am trying to talk my brother out of it lol

True. They do a little more than just an eBook, but not enough to call it a tablet I suppose.
It's a little in between...but definitely wouldn't exactly pass as a good tablet, since they're calling it one.
