Apple's launch of the iPhone 4 has seen the greatest excitement for a new phone ever.A revamped design, a sparkling new display, a speedy processor, and additional features are fantastic.
Except for the antenna issues. I've changed my mind on the iPhone 4, I won't make the purchase until this problem has been sorted out.
Apparently when people hold the phone the reception completely cuts off. Also some people have reported orange spots, but Apple says it's just the adhesive drying and it dissapears...but still.
A pretty funny picture that illustrates what happens in the spoiler. Also, Steve Jobs' response in a mail regarding the antenna issue: The orange spots have been reported as dissapearing after a few days, so I'm not to worried about that. Spoiler

Spoiler [/quote] Of COURSE he would say that lmfao. Don't get me wrong, I love my Macbook Pro, but Steve is such a jackass salesman in everyway. Yeah the spots disappear but they should still have been more perfected for all the hype. That picture is pretty funny though. Is iPhone 4 so cool the Russian Pres. needs a personal demonstration from Mr. Jobs?
I personally think there are too many new IPod related products, maybe it's just because I use verizon and I'm not into the IPhone.
Totally flash. 8D I'd buy one....if I had the money. /poor broke/ By the time I get enough money the iPhone 10 would've come out already. xD
I ended up getting one of these despite my better judgement. There are some things I like about it and some things I hate. The glass on both sides makes me feel like it's so fragile if I set it down on the table, it will shatter or get scratched. Video calling 60% of the time doesn't work for me. It seems like conditions need to be perfect for it. You need to have full signal and full wifi signal or it's not going to work. Once it does work, it's pretty fun though. The camera is good, but awful in the dark. It does come with a little light to use as a flash, but the last few times I tried using that to help me take pictures the light would turn off BEFORE the camera took the picture, thus serving completely useless. However, the camera's shutter speed is AMAZING. Compared to my first generation iphone, I'm loving this feature because I used to try to capture a picture but it'd be too late by the time I clicked the camera button. The "death grip:" at first, I thought to myself that this was BS, but being a left hander, I found that it's completely true. I need to set my phone down on a table and put it on speaker before calling people or my signal will drop completely. As a left hander, I do tend to hold it in the bottom left corner because of the awkward rectangular shape of the phone and the fact that the rest of the phone is made out of glass and I don't want to get my fingerprints on it. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about this. Right now, I'm just guessing on how I'm going to break it. Where will I drop it?
I'm not sure this is entirely sure but it seemed to work for my friend. He told me about the problem with the phone dropping calls and stuff too and all he did was buy a really thing rubber phone cover. He said that he was able to hold it anyway he wanted using the phone cover and he never lost service. Maybe try that?
IMO i think the iphone 4 was rushed and is a lemon. good luck with it. Might have been rushed out due to the lost prototype. also i still think most Apple porducts are over priced for what they are.
I agreed with the rushed part but for the overpriced? Nah you get what you pay for. I love my 3g dearly since I can get any apps on it. I'll be clueless without it haha
It has a bazillion new features but I'll tell you what it can't do: FLASH! MULTI-TASKING! 2 things that computers have been doing since like, 1995. Good job Apple. Wait a sec.. isn't there a type of phone that DOES do both of those things? Hmm... Why, yes there is! Spoiler ANDROID! Plus, android has actual well-designed phones that don't sacrifice basic things like the ability to make a call for being really pretty.
I thought multi-tasking was enabled on the iPhone 4? Also, will we really need Flash? I mean, it's very unfortunate that Apple can't just suck it up and talk to Adobe, but with HTML5, won't Flash soon become obsolete?
Multi-tasking is, to some degree, enabled, but it requires the developer to code their apps in a way that allows it. Which means that the wonderful amazing apps in the app store right now aren't included in the multi-taskable ones. I don't think flash will become obsolete, at least not for another 5 years. The truth is, right now, most sites rely on flash, not HTML5. Once flash is gone, we'll be sporting new phones that make the iphone 4 look like a hunk of junk.
haha yeah i got my HTC about 3weeks ago, its so much better than the iphones. I just like you have the fredom of changing Background, home screens, widget, program shortcuts. The only thing HTC legend cant do as the desire, is animated backgrounds. Oh and most apps that are on the apple site are converted to work on the android os.
Um dont think I explained it right. Maybe you should look at andorid widgets and home screens to get a better idea. I personaly think its just better in the Android.(ill try find some links) Look really to be honest I just like deflating Apple products. As Steve jobs could bring out a pile of shit and people will act like its amazing. And the iphone 4 is an example. It fails to make phone calls but reviwers still raved about it like it was good. I didnt watch the whole thing but you should get the idea from this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9XrNiC5LbI
