I was first iced for saying that whoever bought from my shop would get a free pb, I was like 9 and didnt know it was against the rules. then for multiple account use (many times), then hacked, then multiple account use, then for cheating (after paying someone to get me the 'Legit faerie bubbles avatar'), then...

    I QUIT NEOPETS!

How many times does it take for TNT to actually IP ban you? Does it depend on the reasons for being frozen? Or just the one too many time rule?

after losing my 6 years active account a few years back (shortly after joining this site, but at least I was able to get the royal pb I joined for first) I quit the game, and now I'm back with a new account, I wasn't planning on cheating, but that damn lab ray has raised in price so much since I bought it the last time. +600k or so :| I'll have to try and use more restraint this time though

I also lost all of my side accounts at the time. I don't know if I'm going to make more sides yet

Try emailing TNT and see if you can get an explanation, if they don't budge, then do the same thing we all do... Start over and try to be a little more careful. Getting iced is no fun, but it's happened to most of us at least once.

I got frozen by trying to stop a scammer. Arg.

The person had a junk item in trade and had a wishlist like "Giving a baby pb away cheap if you let me do it my way, neomail me"

It seemed dodgy and I wanted to just report straight away, but the person had an old, good account so I thought maybe not, and it would be awful if I was the reason a genuinely nice person got frozen. So I replied. So it didn't seem like I was begging I copied and pasted the trade wishlist in my neomail.

the person replied with what was obviously a scam (bid 300,000np on the trade) and I ignored.

They then reported me, using the neomailI sent them with the bit I had copied and pasted from their own wishlist to 'prove' that I was a scammer!

Arg, I am so mad at that person

Can't TNT see the real/complete NMs? That doesn't make sense how they can manipulate it that easily and get away with it. That stinks :(

Yeah, I know! I emailed them about it, because I didn't know what I had been frozen for, and got a few replies, but then when I tried to explain myself, they just stopped replying.

    Here's the email she ignored:

    Hi,
    >
    > While it is true that users fill out the forms, the monitors can check the original posts you have made. You were frozen for the following post:
    >
    > The Wishlist of trade69: i giveing baby pb away if you lat me do it my way neomail me if you will and i got otherr pb to i'm interested...
    >
    > If you have any other questions, don't forget to include the entire text of this e-mail with your username clearly at the top. This will help me better address your situation.

    Hi Heather,
    Thankyou for replying.

This has been a total mistake. In the neomail sent from me to user trade69 with "The Wishlist of trade69: i giveing baby pb away if you lat me do it my way neomail me if you will and i got otherr pb to" at the top of it, I was quoting from the wishlist of somebody in a trading post lot. (Username: trade69.) The only bit of the neomail written by me originally was "I'm interested".

I was quite sure it was a scam, but wanted to make certain before reporting it because on the off chance that it wasn't a scam, I would hate to report a genuinely nice person and have their account frozen for their generosity.

They replied to my neomail with what was an obvious scam (offer 50,000np on a junk item and I'll send you the paint brush) and I was going to report it then my computer crashed, then it was dinner time etc. and I forgot all about it, assuming somebody else would have reported them by that stage.

If my neomails are still there, you can see the reply emails from user trade69 saying the things about offering 50,000np etc. And I don't know if you can do this, but looking up all the old trades which that user put up would show that in the neomail I was only quoting their original wishlist.

Hmm.. that seems weird that they quoted the NM you had sent but didn't look further into it. How long ago did you email them? Give it a little bit more time. I hope you get a response!

i agree, it is weird... we exchanged a few emails in November (won't post them here because it'll take up a lot of room), but then they haven't replied since. I don't think I'm gonna get a response. Oh, well. I've moved on, and have 4 million nps in my new account :)

That is why you have to be careful when quoting something like that, as tnt usually doesn't bother to look that it wasn't you who was trying to scam. Same thing happened to me years ago when I posted on the boards a threatening email I received (something along the lines of, "I'll be at your window at the middle of the night and slit your throat" :p) & was iced for it.

Anyways, if your neomails clearly show that it is not you who was doing the scam, continue mailing tnt, always giving as much detail from the emails as you can remember. It shows that you were clearly trying to point out a scam, and tnt can also check the other user's trade history. Don't give up. :)

Edit: Well best of luck on your new account.

I've been frozen over 100 times, technically. Back when there was the Neopets Magazine, I think they'd feature a scrambled word in it per issue. Then if you would type the unscrambled word on the site, they would give you 1000 NP and a random codestone. So I'd make a bunch of fake emails (usually in batches of 5 or 20), sign up corresponding neopets accounts, let them sit for a day or two, then get my codestones (they had 3 scrambled words, so you'd be getting 3k plus 3 codestones). With the 3k pure I'd buy some scratchcards, and ship all the items off to a few side accounts via trading post. Then I'd send them to another account, then to my main, all via trades. I was definitely raking in a lot of money, it went on for around 10 months before I got chain iced for it. Also, TNT removed the codestones as prizes and just gave out the 1k per unscrambled word.

Someone was annoying me yesterday & I sorta ran my mouth... said some things not exactly neo-appropriate. Ended up getting iced about 30 seconds after my numerous curses. XD At least it was only a few mill I lost.
