Not sure what doesnt make sense. Have you seen a women at 50 who has caked on the make up all their lives? Now they have no choice but to wear it cause their face is a mess without it.

I'm pretty sure what they're saying is that most makeup is bad for your skin, especially if you leave it on for too long.

    Heather = Translator

We thank you Heather!! All Hail, Translator Heather!

But yea, thats what I got out of it.

But, some make-up these days is actually GOOD for your skin yea? It's got moisterisers and all those other fancy things in it that's supposed to help the skin?

Haha, shouldn't admit this but I've used toners, exfoliaters and cleansers before.. And I loove a facial!! (when the gf does it.. always leads to other stuff.. whats not to love?!)

I feel better when I wear makeup, but I can go out without it. Like, I would really rather not go out for a clubbing evening or a weekend without makeup, but I have no problem not wearing it when I go to school, shopping etc.
I only wear mascara+eyeliner on a daily basis and I really NEVER use foundation or any other stuff. I rarely get pimples and my skin is extremely clean, but if I happen to get a little pimple or something I can put on a little bit .

I think girls look prettier natural than they do with a lot of make up. I know some girls shaving their eyebrows and then paint them or get them tatooed. Like, wtf???

No. They have bad skin because they've cared for it improperly, not because they've caked on makeup. I can wear a million pounds of makeup a day, and I'll still age gracefully because I know how to take care of my skin. I hate that women think that makeup=bad skin. No, you being gross and not washing it off at night=bad skin.

Make up has an effect on your skin even if you wash your face each night. You cant repeatedly day after day for 30 years, use that crap and honestly say that it has no negative effects. Now that makes no sense, but you are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine.

I think makeup is usually a good thing, aslong as its not caked on, a lot of girls feel better with mascara and eyeliner and a bit of foundation.

YESSSS. Nothing bugs me more than when someone rants about wearing foundation or something. I have fantastic skin and I wear foundation every day; it has absolutely no effect on my skin whatsoever, except for the UV protection it provides. So you can have your nasty wrinkly spotty acne skin, I prefer clear and soft, thanks. I wash off my makeup every single night, without fail, unless I'm passed out drunk of something. I probably go to sleep without washing it all off maybe two or three nights out of the year, max. So stfu you prissy haters. Hmph.

Touchy subject?? hehe... Anyway, you actually make a good point about there being UV protection. If you have good makeup, then yea, there's nothing wrong with it! I agree. I don't actually wear that much make up to begin with but as long as you don't wear it for 24 hours you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

My girlfriend is a beautician... She agrees with what Phee/Ang says.

As long as you use good make up with UV protection, moisturizers and properly clean it off each night so that it doesn't cake up in your pores/become oily and cause pimples/other crap then make-up is fine.

So.. I'm going to be bold, and take a side here. I trust my GF... I'm with Ang and Phee :p

I wear very little makeup. I do my eyes and lips. I see no need for the rest. My skin's even and clear.
I have no problem with girls who wear makeup so long as it isn't packed. I don't like feeling as though I'm talking to a clay mask.

I rarely ever wear makeup. The only times I do are when I have some kind of important meeting or a special occasion. But I also have bad acne and find that I break out more when I wear it, so that's another reason why I don't. That, and I'm lazy. :p

I personally only wear an under eye cream for when I have circles from staying up late, a powder, and mascara. I find a light-on-the-makeup look to be much more attractive.

I like to use some soft blush and mascara everyday, just to look more healthy and stuff. I don't like to use foundation, face powder, fake eyelashes to work, for example. But on a party, to hang out with friends... it's okay, I think. Just don't put too much and get transformed in a completely different person o_O

Ugh... I'd prefer any girl without makeup. Kind of grosses me out to see girls with a layer of crud covering their faces. I know most people are okay with it, but I think it's because they forget its facepaint-like qualities.
