I prefer using Ares p2p.

 

oh no that has many many viruses my friend has it with the sime virus protection as me

you must either be very lucky or very patient. I can never find any torrents of stuff I want - or when I do find something it hasnt been seeded in ages.

 

ya i agree with the people who say there are lots of viruses... but then again you have to be careful anywhere =)
the thing is that they're (viruses) are easy to find... they're usually just the 5 - 300 kb .exe files...

and always ALWAYS scan your files =)

 

Pshh, I never scan my files, and never get any viruses =P


Just don't download things that are obviosly fake, like a mp3 file that's like 300kb

And if you download programs, always go for zip rather than exe

Limewire is great, it downloads things fast(music as an example) /
And I didn't get any virus with it yet, and Im always checking XD I also dled some DnD books, none of it come with virus =D and it was in 1 hour, the normal is more

 

I actually find Limewire to be a whole lot slower than Azureus...and it connects to less users too... :roll:

 

i used to use that and after downloading a few things, my comp went kaput! but my boyfriend uses it and its been fine for him. it is riddled with viruses and it is completely your choice to whether you download from it or not. i would suggest using bittorrent or something as you can actually download singles from it by choosing them from albums etc. mucho bettr in my opinion!

the only thing is that some songs such as Butterfly from DDR cant be found using bittorents so.. well... yeah

 

I discovered you can be safe with Limewire if you just use Bitzi to look up the file lol.

 

either you guys are downloading retard files that obviously are fake ..i have had it for years and havent got one virus yet..so somethin is obviouly wrong here

 

I still think that Ares is the best.. Limewire is okay and I feel that it's got little users as compared to Ares.. When it comes to mp3 I believe that Limewire is good cause' my brother uses it.. However, if you're talking about movies, I feel that Ares is better by far.. My speed can go up to 280kbp/s..

 

well i've been up to around 500kb/s but average around 300 on limewire

 

Limewire is good, but download Limewire Pro off of it first thing, then use that. Even so, the program is still pretty dangerous... so be careful.

I only use LW for single songs and music videos. For movies/games/apps I only use BT. =)

 

Limewire is awesome but.. sometimes the music doesnt have the artist /genre/ album so its hard when organizing

 

I use it, and I don't get any viruses. It has a pretty good selection of songs. I get what I can't get in stores around here or in the itunes store, since I listen to a lot of Japanese music. If you're going to just download songs, there shouldn't be any problem. However, just make sure to mark those 134.4 kb files as garbage, because it is just spam in your search results.
