Lunar Esclipse Tonight

    Yes... the 28th august.
    However Moon become red because of the phenomenon of the light's diffraction... light's wave is broken up by our atmosphere and the red wave is the only one that is able to invade the shadow cone.

    Nope... lunar eclipses are more frequent! About every 5 years... but some of them are only partial, and not all of them are visible from our hemisphere.
    Solar eclipses are very rare! Once every hundred years... last visible was in 1999. The next visible from Europe will be in 2081 :cry:
    And I've read that the 16th may 2227 there will be one total solar eclipse with a magnitude of 100% over the Tuscany!!! Where I live!!! But in 2227 I will not be here :cry:

    i saw it first time a few years ago, didnt know what it was at the time tho.
    i was at work while itaccured, so i missed it:<.

    thanks for the photos vinceraf, coudn't see anything, dman cloud, coudnt find any pictures of it either on internet, so, thanks for putting those photos here !

    Ya I guess. They were testing those long range nuclear missles a while ago, but I haven't heard anything about that in a while.

    cool, i love all eclipses, like a couple of years
    ago i was walking home and it
    was 3;30 and itt urned like if it was 7:00 XDDD
    yay for eclipses!
