I love my blackberry. Even though i'm only in high school, i really can't bring myself to use another phone. Everything just seems so in order, and i find other phones just look stupid to me. However, if I was actually paying the extra money for the special plan, i'd probably be convinced to not even have a smartphone at all.
I;m not sure if this qualifies as a smartphone, but my T-Mobile Behold is fantastic! The touchscreen is nice and vibrant. I don't have wireless internet on it because it's just a phone... but its a great phone nonetheless. The camera takes very nice quality photos and the best part (to me) is the MP3 player. It has about 2gb of storage for your music and whatnot and the built-in speaker is loud enough for a phone. p.s its also a very durable phone. Put a screen protector on it and you can drop it as much as you like
Ive got an ipod touch, and have a bunch of friends with the iphone. They have nothing but good things to say about it. I think you either LOVE it or HATE it. I love it due to all the apps you can get, how it combines my phone and ipod into one, its got a camera, wi fi. Just everything I need right now. Ipod touch is perfect for college, when I just need to check small things, I can just hop online without my laptop, get what I need, then put it back into my pocket.
I have the Devour. It came out a few weeks ago. Pretty much new. I love it, its big and durable, and is pretty much a miniature computer. The only gripe: it sucks at the simplest of tasks. You can barely hear ANYTHING when you make a phone call, so you have to repaet "What....?" over and over again. other than that, its an excellent phone. A few kinks, but hopefully an update will fix that. Overall, i would reccomend a smart phone, they are really convenient if you need to look something up on the internet real quick on the go, or pretty much theres an app for everything. pretty fun when youre bored.
I like the idea of Smart phones but I just dont think they are worth what your paying for yet. I like to sit back and wait. Yeah the iphone is good or the HTC, but they are still charging you to much Money for them. Another thing, I refuse getting a Smart phone from work beacuse then your expected to respond to your emails all the time. They can get stuffed. If you think about it they will pay maybe $1000- $2000 for your phone contract/phone/calls a year for a lot of over time. My last work did it and as soon as a email would pop in, it would tell you in the middel of your screen so you check it to get rid of it. And then when you have read it you think to your self "oh i can just reply now and its out of the way" So what i ended up doing was getting another phone and just keeping the work one off after work. It didnt say anyware in my contract that I had to keep it on, I think it was just expected with the free over time. I guess you have two senarios a work place likes you and wants to keep you, so they give you a nice smart phone. (cheap salary bonus, makes people feel important) or they like to get the most out of the workers by investing the least posible. ( its cheaper to give you somthing that makes you more productive then giving a salary increase or bounus)
For the money i paid for my iPhone, I could have gotten a phone from tmobile that does the same crap, for a fraction of the price, and used the rest to pay the bills in the coming months. So i dont like mine very much, and it hates me aswell. It goes through these stages about once a week where it will mysteriously lock its self, and no matter what i do it will not unlock, even by sliding it, and entering my code. Finally after about an hour or two it will let me unlock it.
I dont use cell phones of any kind. I try to avoid too many things that make me lazy. If i cant use the phone at home or find a pay phone on any street corner in the big city, it isnt that important. Waste of money for me, but for those that use them, enjoy!
They look nice, i wouldn't mind one I have an lg i think it's KS360 or something, but i start my new job in a couple of weeks so i'll be getting a blackberry on contract
Depends if you're the kind of person who will utilise everything in a smartphone. if you're not, there really isn't any point if you're just going to buy it to make calls and texts. But if you're into modding and creating apps, a smartphone really is the only possible way to go
I currently have a Blackberry Pearl 8100, but I had a Pantech Duo (two, actually- i replaced one) for about a year, and a Samsung Impression after that. My Pantech was the greatest phone for me, but its full keyboard didnt live long against my constant texting O_O Im very happy with my Blackberry now, much slimmer- and its PINK.
I really want one, my current phone is very limited in its functions. T__T Maybe in the future when I have enough money I think an LG or Samsung one would be nice. <3
Heh, gravedig much people? =P I am one of the people who are extremely dependent on their smartphones. It is my source of information; I have an iPhone 3G, and I just love searching on the internet for answers when I am stuck. It doesn't help that apps are cool =D Definitely going to get the iPhone 4.
ALWAYS wanted a SP But Never really thought about spending a LOT of money on a phone b4 my nokia 5310 does the job
I wish I had one, its getting more and more like a real computer. With a little less functions and smaller screen.
I have an iPhone. I've never had any problems, and I don't see any reason to hate them. I have it because it has internet connection, apps, texting, and a phone.
I don't use cellphones much, so smart phones mean nothing to me. Although if I did get a chance to use one, I'd would love to try and see how good it is xD
But it's because of that very fact that they are computers with annoyingly small screens is why I refuse to purchase one. I do hope we get virtual reality technology soon that allows us to just touch holograms on thin air to handle our cellphones. O_O Save us all the trouble of squinting with miniscule gadgets.
