Jeter is in no way a cheater...
A lot of people may not like him because he's the face they think when they the name Yankees is brought up today, but it's like that because he is one hell of a player. The "flip" in the playoff game against Oakland was nothing short of amazing for him having such presence of everything going on in the field.

As for the Giants...yeah, they just need to get younger. They're historically known for having an older team, but you can't keep those old guys out there forever. I mean, their outfield last year of Alou, Finley, and Bonds was an average age of what, 40? Bring up some rookies!

I remember the flip, it was so amazing and stunning by the fact that he isn't supposed to be there and that Jeremy Giambi didn't slide...

The Giants don't have too many good rookies, plus they don't look like they're spending much money for whatever reason...

I would be glad to have A-rod with the Giants, people are just bitter that he's not worth the 25 million a year

think about it, how hard would you play if you were set for life, no requirements on how good you play, you just have to play. Some people who get a windfall excel (rare) others fall apart or become worthless (common)

I completely understand what you're saying, but most people have more integrity than to just lay back once they sign a multi-million dollar contract.

I was talking about life in general, most winners of lotteries do poorly and many sport stars and actors loose it all too and then stop doing what made them the money to begin with

Oh, in that case...yeah, I'd have to agree.
We learned this in psychology actually, where if you started paying someone who is passionate about something for what they are passionate about, they'll become more preoccupied with the money and start to falter in what it is they do.

ya, they should have won the world series, they did so good during the regular season and then lose to a wild card team!?!?!?it sucks, and they also lost the battle for that new japanese pitcher to boston

they did the smart thing by not getting the rights to the japanese pitcher, let boston waste 90 million just for 3 years of that guy, they should just go after zito who is a sure thing
