Generation 1 and 2 were equally good, in my opinion. 3 was so-so. 4 had some of the most ugly legendaries (Regigigas????), and I'm almost afraid to find out what the rest of generation 5's Pokemon would look like... As for the blue one, they should have just made it some kind of bear, instead of this clown thing.
The green one is he best!! He looks so fly! He needs a popped collar too. I agree that they are probably running out of ideas, the might want to quit while they are ahead...xD I think the best starter ever was Mudkip, only because once it evolves into Swampert, it's unstoppable.

Hey, Pokemon is kind of like Digimon! Things began to go downhill after the second generation. I used to like the Digimon cartoon far more than the Pokemon cartoon. At least Digimon had some semblance of plot.
I was originally a digimon fan too, but right around the 3rd? season I completely lost interest, and switched off to pokemon, which has kept my attention up until now lol

From what I've seen, the Pokemon cartoon doesn't seem to have much of a plot (the games are much better, though I'm always too lazy to level up my Pokemon properly). For some reason the blue starter reminds me of this. They don't really look alike, but...

Smugleaf would be a good name, but from what I've seen it's US name hasn't been confirmed yet. And the more I look at it, it looks real similar to treecko...
FYI for all who is still wondering what the water starter is... it's an otter. I'd expect it to have some sort of lame english name like.... Wotter... since it's a Water pokemon
