Woo. I'm not the only one who confessed to liking figure skating. My room mates (all male) keep teasing me about it.
I like figure skating.. used to like it more when I was younger. My favorite was the guy who would do back flips on the ice.. he was great XD I'm more of a Summer Olympics fan, I've never really gotten into the winter olympics for some reason, it seems like it's pretty fun to watch though so I might try to catch some of it
Snowboarding and the.. (whats that thing called out of umm.. that movie and the jamacans.. oh never mind I remember!!) Bobsledding MY fav sports to watch. However, I don't really watch it. I'm the summer type...
The opening ceremonies were OK - not the best I've seen...a little bit longish and I found it was a bit of a showcase for Aboriginal culture rather than Canadian culture - however, I did enjoy it It was quite unfortunate that the cauldron didn't come up like it was supposed to, but the torch bearers handled it well.
I didn't see the opening this year.. but to those that did, do you think it topped Beijing's Summer Olympic Opening Ceremony? (if that's even possible )
Wow really? That makes me want to try to find it online to see for myself *goes to google it* Well everybody's entitled to their own opinion.. and their's is that it was really bad  Did you watch it? What did you think of it?
yes I do agree that everyone has their own opinion...and that's cool just curious what aspects made it the worst ever lol Although I do agree they were not the best ever
definitely didn't top beijing but I actually thought they were pretty decent. There was a clip of this snowboarder going down a big mountain to begin the whole thing, and it looked really neat, then the same guy does a jump through one of the olympic rings onto the stage xP It was pretty sweet! The overall opener had its moments, although the middle got kind of boring. They had a cool idea of that screen on the stage though .. they didn't use it enough though, it was kind of a wasted opportunity. D:
i saw it, i thought the fiddler was bat man, or some downtown east side cocaine dealers. lol, punk fiddlers. i did like the he/she dude who was flying....the rope was tooo obvious. but they did a great job with the effects that were projected onto the stage.
Hmm, sounds like there are some cool moments of the show. I may have to make some time later to watch it!
I didn't watch the Opening Ceremony, but my friend did. She said they had technical difficulties. xD Ugh, I work in the Olympic Superstore. Too many customers...
yeah, they did have some technical difficulties, one of the things that the torch was supposed to light didn't come up
