im curently working in a club, got it through a friend that i met a few months ago after i moved here, most of my jobs have been through people that i randomly meet, you find better jobs that way, its like they can see how you are by actulay having a chat and getting to know you, and thus they have get you a job they think would suit better. and for me its always been good.

When I was applying for my job, I just took lots of CVs to different shops and handed them in. And whoever got back to me had the honour of interviewing me :D I only work part time though, as I'm a student :D

I work part-time at a hoagie shop, first job. It's a good experience to see what its like actually working and you get a whole different outlook on money when you have a job and aren't just getting bankrolled by parents.

I found my current job online at the official job centre website for the UK. It's really easy to use and you can narrow your search down pretty easily. Also, a lot of them give an email address so you can just email your CV to the company concerned (which is what I did). I emailed on the Saturday, got a phone call on the Monday asking me to attend an interview, went to the first interview the next day, was asked back to a 2nd interview on the Friday and had a phone call at the end of the day offering me the job. Easy :D

Another good way (for those in England anyway) is to check the council websites for our area. They have a lot of decent paying positions updated regularly.

I just call them and ask if they are hiring and ask them to consider me and they tell me to keep calling and stuff and then when they hire they pick me :)

Guys, if you're still living with your parents and you want to get a job, for goodness' sake go in and fill out the application yourself, just the other day at my work my boss was talking about how many kids' mothers he gets walking in and asking for and application and filling it out for their son/daughter. You dont even realize the negative impression this gives.
