I am starting to learn pixel art, and besides photoshop, I'd like to know programs that work well with this type of art. I already tried MS paint, but as you can't add transparency to your sprite (unless you fake the background, which sucks for me), I don't like using it. To be more precise, I'm looking for a program which can collect every kinda color in an image and make a palete with it, so you can then use the colors for re-creating another image. A program with this feature would work perfectly. I have no idea if photoshop can do this though, but I doubt as I searched a little for this and found nothing.
