Mew wasn't really a myth back then, it was included in the red and blue games. It was definitely a myth in-story, though. And feeding your pet rare candies boosts their stats up half of what it would be if you trained normally.

glad? i thought that ppl would be happy about lots of rare candies... but yea, i'm totally legit in the games, i NEVER take advantage of glitches....they scare me
i don't know why glitches would be -scary-, but i'm completely legit =) even on neopets, haha. only cheat i've used on pokemon is for my vba to be able to use time to grow my berries. x_x
only cheat I used was to unlock the events since it's impossible to get those events in canada. Other than that I got all the other pokemon legit. Not a fan of exploiting glitches either
I don't watch pokemon but i used to love the games, i had blue, yellow, gold, ruby and pearl. really good games, lots to do
Pokemon didn't exactly go down hill.. It's still awesome. Just that there's so many pokemon it ruins it. ;-;
I'm curious why people think that having so many pokemon ruined it? I think the fact that they keep adding more pokemon is my favourite aspect of the games
its nice to have more pokemon...but i guess its just ard to keep track. but i'm a geek and i have pretty much memorized them all
defense attacks are lame! what's the point? eventually your pokemon is a higher level than anything it will go up against, so all that matters is awesomely cool attacks
lol, surf is pretty nice. I always try to give my pokemon attacks from multiple types. Only max 2 in one type, so that I'm ready for anything

phoneofthecentury - i agree with you and disagree also, it was great in the beginning but then all the new pokemon really killed it. but it went downhill for me when they kept stalling and never evolved any of their pokemon. it's like come on you've had pikachu for 50 million years now evolve it into raichu or do something new lol
