honestly, it'd break my heart if pikachu evolved. raichu is ugly - and pikachu's always been pikachu xD it just wouldn't seem right D:
agreed, raichu would ruin the show. Piplup kind of bugged me when he refused to evolve though. They're doing a much better job in the latest episodes of making fun of him though, so I'm alright with it your levels are way higher than mine lol, I worked less on training and more on catching. lvl 99 Empoleon (I beat you there at least lol) lvl 82 Butterfree (my favourite 1st gen, and the only non-4th on my team) lvl 64 Mismagius lvl 64 Luxray lvl 62 Chatot lvl 58 Gallade (shiny, with a lvl 62 non shiny I was using before) and sometimes I'll pull out my lvl 61 Garchomp
SHINY!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway, i have no shiny pokemon...sad. i thought i'd get a shiny charmander egg from my friend's shiny charizard...but no...
I haven't played since G/S/C But i think i'll be downloading the remakes of Gold and Silver version next month. They look great.
they are great! i've tried the japanese version even though i can't read a thing! it is soooo cute how your leader pokemon follows you.
I am soooo tempted to download the Japanese version, but i dont want to ruin the rush of nostalgia for when i get the english version. So i will...try to...wait. But i am actually really looking forward to Soul Silver.
ya, I was pretty excited when I caught it, and it's all badass and blue B) I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to buy heartgold or not. The new features are interesting though
Having not played the newer generations, i dont really understand this "shiny" concept. Are they in HG/SS?
shiny is a very rare version of a pokemon that has alternate colours. In the anime the main character catches a shiny Noctowl. The concept of shiny started with Gold and Silver, which contained a Red Gyarados, which is the only easily accessible shiny pokemon. I don't know what the actual odds are, but it's at least 1/100000 chance that a wild pokemon will be shiny. probably more. The reason it's called shiny is because stars appear whenever the pokemon is released. it's super cool so to answer your question, yes, they will be in heartgold/soulsilver
Sounds cool. I play on a supercard dsi, so i have built in action replay. I have a feeling i'll be tempted to use it just to get shiny versions of my pokemon if the odds are really that low.
ya, I know there's a code to do that, although I tried to avoid all the cheating I could while still getting all the pokemon.
Idk, personally i think HG/SS will be my last pokemon games. I'm not really too interested in teh new pokemon, just the nostalgia of HG.
as long as people still show an interest, I hope they'll continue to explore their creative boundaries
I think probably the most epic part of Gold/Silver was when you beat the Elite 4 and had to go to Mt. Silver to face the "True Champion" and it was Ash Ketchum waiting at the top. I'm so looking forward to that again. Dude was hard if you weren't leveled up right.
Haha did you not have Gold/Silver originals? They were the best ones! But yea, technically you faced the character you played as in Red/Blue versions but that character was supposed to be Ash Ketchum. I don't think he was actually called Ash in Red/Blue, but obviously you could tell because he looked exactly like him. He didn't have level 100s but he was still harder than the Elite 4 by a large margin. It was just epic because you got the first 8 badges and then they do the whole plot twist where you get to go back to Kanto and face the original 8 gym leaders from Red/Blue THEN you get to face the Elite 4 and you're like "okay i'm finally done. I'm the champion" and THEN the last guy in the Elite 4 is like "Actually someone else defeated us before you (The You from Red/Blue) and you must beat him to be the true champion. He's waiting on Mt. Silver"
