mmm from what i've heard...the login page is the only one we know for certain to check your ip (however, nothing can be said for the rest of the site) so :S so if you believe that the rest of the site is safe, you can also AB like this (using a proxy to log in, and then disabling it)
Just the ads and default country. The site language was in english. ----- Like i said before....The ad content is based off where your IP is from, and the content is from keywords......
Sadly I'm tightening up my defences and now and the test may or may not work. But we shall still see!
Is this true for cable modems also? I would be so happy if just the ip loggin was checked. But i do know of an aber that only used proxy for login only.
I think it is, because I remember i accidentally left my modem unplugged for like an hour once. And then all the sudden my network got reset and it was no longer secure.. Anyhow, there is a really really good tutorial here on how to change your ip on a cable modem: Spoiler http://whatismyipaddress.com/change-ip I suggest you take precautions like printing off the instructions before you attempt changing it. Hope I could help!!
Also, some ISP's will change your IP if you phone them and ask. Use your creativity to think of a reason why you'd need too
It's better to leave your proxy on at all times. I'm 100% sure that some pages, like the login ones, for example, track your IP, and then you'll just get banned again. Better to keep it on at all times.
