I grew up in NY State & then moved to Phoenix, AZ for five years and I *love* the rain now. It was so dry down there I always wanted to go out & stand in it but thanks to the dust storms that occur directly before the five or so times it rains down there a year it tends to rain mud. Still though, everyone would come outside or open their doors when it rained. ;)

Now I'm back in NY & everyone thinks I'm silly for it but now that it's snowing I bet they miss rain too. ;)

rainy days are the best :) i love them

there's nothing better than reading on your bed and listening to the rain hit the roof. or just looking outside at the puddles and being warm and comfortable inside

Here, in North Carolina, the winter season is characterized by rain...unfortunately, the apartment that I currently live in floods when it rains too hard...but we are hopefully moving sometime in the next couple of weeks to a nicer place :)

It doesn't even have to be rainy for me to love the weather, just cloudy is fine. I live in San Diego where it is always a nice 70 degrees... only problem is that it NEVER changes.

boohoo, a nice 70 degrees that never changes...lucky

Anyway, just thought I'd give an update: Yesterday I moved out of my old apartment that would flood when it rained and now I'm in a nice apartment that's on the second floor, so there shouldn't be a flooding problem :) I didn't have hot water in my shower last night though -_- That was unpleasant...

Yeah, but it really sucks if you're the driver. I hate driving in the rain...it takes a little bit of extra concentration, and it's just so miserable when you are on a decently long drive and you have to spend it in rainy weather :/

Not really, driving in the sun is nice because all the trees and stuff on the side of the road look pretty, and you get to open the windows in the car, or let the top down in you have a convertible...it's generally happier weather, so it's more fun to drive in. The sun is only annoying at dawn and dusk when it's low enough to get in your eyes while you are trying to see the road :/

I think it Ultimately depends on what the weather is like where you live. If it is always cold, you would probably enjoy sunny weather.

Sunny days sometimes gives me headaches. Rainy days make me pessimistic. I love snowy days :D
Which is even worse to drive in that sun >_>

I live in North America M.D. Silver Spring and believe me, where I live, its COMPLETELY random due to all of the global warming and a bunch of crap getting into the air and pollution. Its horrible so when its a nice spring morning everyone just comes outside and smells the air as if they just sprayed febreze. lol

I love, love, love the rain. I like light showers, chilling torrents, drenching anarchy-in-the-sky-type events...no matter what it is, I am SO there. The one thing that I cannot stand is the wind - it ruins everything good about my life. Blows out candles, ruins my already quite ridiculously bad hair, throws kites into kite-eating trees...it should be banned, or something.

When it rains, I love to write by candlelight, (which is so cliché, I know - I may as well write in a decepit old attic, surrounded by the souls of the departed and listening to NIN and A Perfect Circle on repeat). Every time I write something different, I put on a whole new character. If it's a perfect killer of a storm, I write in cramped, spidery writing on blank paper, usually sci-fi stories or something à la Jeffery Deaver with a smokin twist at the end... If it's just that perfect kind of rain where it's sort of warm but still really dark, then I write with my favorite fountain pen in super loopy script, fantasies and darkly appealing fiction...

Either that or I go dance around, clothing optional. Hahahaha, I'm cool. :nope:
