The thing is I pay all of my tuition and everything. Also I just heard from my friend that he did show up hour and a half late to class. Giving some BS excuse and everything. I got no choice now, I have to take his class or lose half my money for the class if I drop. Also professors show respect to the students by being there on time and everything. I am going to disrespect him because he doesn't respect us. And trust me you don't want a professor who doesn't show up.
Yeah I paid for mine too... You can't just add/drop the class and get into another one for the semester? I don't know, I'd count it as a blessing if my prof didn't show up. Ours ALWAYS showed up.
I can drop it but I'd lose half the money I put up for it. Plus if I transfer it would be a 300s level class and missing 3 weeks is too much for me to catch up. I got a friend who told me, hat classes now meet at 2:15 instead of 1:30. I gotta pass this with a C and everything will be good.
This is going to be my freshman year (if the term means the first year of university^^")... computer engineering. Dunno how it will be. I'd like more literary, artistic and linguistic sector, but now... I'm really afraid of it, I have to move to another city without my friends :/ Anyway, I was thinking how different here high schools are from yours °°' and it's strange to me hearing about A/B/C grades, semesters, frats, parties and school's sport teams outside of teens TV series XD
my goals for this year is to pass my 3 ap exams and end up getting a girlfriend or at least go out on a date for the first time.
You can definitely do that. Which AP's were you thinking of taking? (Good luck on the girlfriend thing too.)
Today was a good school day for me. I got a B on my surprise chemistry quiz, and I gained popularity by standing up for a girl in my school who I dont even know. w00t level 2! ABer... finally!
my thoughts on school? thank god its over. I don't have to go through more of the political BS anymore...until i decide to leave the military and maybe get a higher education.
i found that college is the key point of most peoples career, it decides if you have it in you to reach your goals, you know you can leave and quit at any time unlike high school.
Oh I'm sorry... speaking of this... what is the difference between high schools and colleges? °-° Are they both secondary schools? 'cause I often found difficulty to translate the type of school I was attended.
Depends what country US not sure i think 11-18 = high school 18-21 = college? however UK high cshool is 11-16 then college is 16-18 (optional + only take 4 courses) Uni 18+ (optional + gtta pay)
In the US, you go through 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades which is high school and you go into that around age 14 or 15. (unless you had junior high in which you had 9th grade there, and then high school started with 10th grade.) and then you go to college after you graduate 12th grade, and you're there for either 2 years or 4 years.
