Should users be able to donate points to other users?

    It is a feature which is currently disabled, I was just wondering what people think of it.

    If it were enabled, people could donate their points to other users as a 'thanks' if they were helped by them or something.

    I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.. so.. vote :]

    No. I don't think users should be able to donate points. I don't like the idea of members kissing ass constantly for donated points. Plus, I believe it would cause an integrity issue with some members creating multiple accounts, spamming the boards and then donating points to one account to buy a program and then disappear and never be seen again on the forum.

    Bad idea...

    Yeah I totally agree, this will increase the mount of fake users and people will just spam and spam just for points which isn't good

    It depends on how things are run. We had something like that on an old forum I was at. To prevent spam, we set a 45-second flood control & changed the minimum amount of letters in a post to 15. People never got in more than 5 spam posts before a mod got them. Taught those bastards. :D

    That's a good idea. If it's implemented and you enable this feature, it would be a great way for showing appreciation, as long as it isn't abused. As long as you guys IP ban and such.

    I think it's a gereat idea. Only as long as the rules are strict. And no one makes multiple accounts.

    I like the idea..:) As for multiple accounts, is there any way for an IP address to be recorded, and therefore make it possible for only one account to be made per IP address?

    I don't like this at all. Rep is good enough. Like other people said spamming is bad enough, this would just add to it.

    People would just make loadsa accounts and send the 5 points you get at the start to one acount
