well beeing in cardiff we got the smoking ban first. hated it at first, but quit smoking cigs after a few days... i think they should have smoking rooms, heavily ventilated, atleast that would be good.
theres one pub/club here in edinburgh that i can think of which has a designated smoking room...rather amusing, it looks like a sauna and evry1 can see who the smokers are thanks to floor to ceiling window lol.
Well where i live ppl r not allowed to smoke in public places which is a great thing 4 ppl with breathing problems and it helps stop second hand smoke
i think the smoking ban is the best idea in a while my dad smokes so i know how bad it can be. if you smoke you need to stay away from other people while you do it thats what i think.
I love the idea of a smoking ban. Can't stand the smoke. We do have it here, but not everywhere yet, 'they're' planning to, though.
I love the smoking ban. Our restaurant has just become no smoking and it is a much better place to work. I hate smoking and think it is a disgusting habit, but if people want to smoke and kill themselves then they can go right ahead, just not around everyone else.
I think it should be up to the owner of a business whether they will allow smoking inside or not. Second hand smoke isn't as much of a danger as the anti-smoking ads want you to think. The statistics they use are based on smoke that is coming out of the end of the cigarette, which is extremely more concentrated than anything you would breathe in by being around a smoker. It kind of smells, but if you mind it that much you can always ask to be seated somewhere else.
If if every body in UK give up smoking cuz of the ban the country would be on its knees. 80% of tobacco price is tax, the treasury would lose billions.
I think we should get one. So many people die from smoking, and get sick from second-hand smoke. Only prob is, if people ban smoking, tons of people are out of a job >,>
My country is a rathole. We'll always have smoking. Everyday and every minute some loser is smoking, whether it be cigs or jukes.
I think smoking is really bad but I like the smell. Maybe because I grew up around smokers. So honestly I don't mind smoking in public places and there are just some places that I think having a ban on smoking is ridiculous like in pubs, bars, clubs, etc. If you're old enough to go to those places then you should know better if you want to be inhaling second hand smoke. I know some people will say 'even non-smokers go to those places' but the businesses should have a right to say whether they want to be a smoking establishment or not. Then smokers and non-smokers could decide if they want to go there.
I don't think America has a ganeral one, different restaraunts do, also some theme parks do. But not like a national ban...goes to check
