Re: Zer0's Conundrum #2 Teehee. I am actually jealous of your mad maths skills. I used to be really good at maths, but since I've left school and stopped using it, I've forgotten practically everything. Still good with mental arithmetic, but nothing else
Re: Zer0's Conundrum #2 Haha, gotta start brushing up on those skills! Don't worry, they won't all be math. I'll include some other aspects of geekiness by having physics and computer science problems! :maha: :funky: >
And i thgought i was ok at maths. I took one look at that earlier and ran away to hide in a dark, damp corner
Re: Zer0's Conundrum #2 Its a similar proof to the one for the formula for a geometric series. Actually, its more less exactly the same proof. lol, math is hard. I would never say math is easy.
Yeah i just started higher maths which is the equivalent of A level maths in england Its pretty hard and boring lol
Re: Zer0's Conundrum #2 lol we never learned that either...they just tossed us the formula for sums of geometric series and made us bruteforce everything yeah...math gets to be really...hard it scared me off :maha:
I dont even know what calculus is lol Is it an American thing were we, the UK, have a different name for it?
Re: Zer0's Conundrum #2 I dunno, I like proofs. Especially really elegant ones. They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside Its usually a college level course but taught in high school for "accelerated" kids.
Re: Zer0's Conundrum #2 OK thanks Looks like i will never learn it Are you guys just accelerated or study maths at uni?? :maha:
Re: Zer0's Conundrum #2 well I like trying to prove things...but actually spending time reading through proof....no thanks :maha: lol "accelerated" being an euphemism for "nerdy"
Zer0, are there set times that you plan to run your conundrum, or is it just random? I don't want to miss the next one if I can help it
You don't learn this kind of math in school, so it won't help you Nope, just random right now. I should probably set a time though. Sunday afternoon/evenings sound good?
