Hmmm well I liked Star Wars a lot too, but I can just keep watching LOTR over and over again xD

That's why I have them all 3 on regular discs and the extended edition :p And of course "The hunt for Gollum".

Woo, Star Trek!! I am a Star Trek fan and this movie was awesome. Seen it twice so far, in digital both times(sooo amazing). The cast is great and it was just an awesome plot with lots of action. Seeing it the second time there were a few things that bugged me, but still just an amazing movie.

What's up with Spock and Uhura??? I mean, I understand that Nero going back in time created an alternate reality and all that, but it was still kind of weird.

Also, what's up with all the weird glares every time they show Spock or Kirk? I didn't really notice it the first time around but the second time it got really annoying really fast. There were a lot of weird camera angles I wasn't really feeling either. Seemed like it was either a shot of full on action or extreme close up all the time.

Nice to see they had Kirk getting with a green girl though, made me super happy.

Weird camera angles and glare/lens flare is kind of JJ.'s thing, it's just what he does. I thought Spock & Uhura was a great new angle to be honest. The only thing the film really missed was an actual space battle, ship vs ship...

It kind of seemed, towards the end, that Abrams noticed this and wrote in the part were the Enterprise arbitrarily bombards an already crippled ship that is moments away from being torn apart by an inescapable black hole anyway - a move that then left the Enterprise to be pulled into the black hole too, adding another completely arbitrary last minute problem for the crew. Still, as much as I've just complained about the ending, the movie is still absolutely exceptional, and should not be missed by anyone.

Of course I remember, but that was a precursor to the story, setting it up, and it only lasted a few moments. It would have been nice to see the Enterprise go head to head with something. Maybe that's just not the way Star Trek is done, I don't really know, I've never been a fan, but it would have been cool.

I watched this today, and I was shocked...
I never watched any of the trilogies as well, yet, the movie was spectacular
I was actually forced into watching this movie by friends, and I totally recommend it :O

I was in the same situation, but it was my brother that got me to go.
The only downside I can even think of is that they filmed it so that there was a lot of camera glare. Not exactally my style, but the movie was perfectly written and I was completely satisfied with spending $10 to go see it =]
