I honestly don't know why it was so great. I still remember playing it for the first time, got bored and went back to playing Age of Empires.
Terrans are the weakest and can easily be adopted by the Protoss Zerg or maybe sooner or later in the game. They just die so soon. I mean, the original marine Zerglings hit, but could not resist fear zealots who were in groups. Furthermore, the seat of the tank and Thor, and perhaps several units are completely useless unless they are in the mix. However, we hope Blizzard will solve this problem and make the game better, all in due time.
Are you kidding me? Terran is easily the strongest race in the game. Terran mech is so disgustingly strong, especially vs zerg.
Yeah....terrans are weak? No way man. People who say that are usually the ones who can't play terran at all. If you can start your build fast and have a good technique you can own even toss. Every race has it's dis/advantages but terrans are NOT weak.

i'm buying sc2 simply for the use map settings games. i'll never be good enough to play the regular starcraft at a competitive level, so might as well just have some fun

Scrap Station is so zerg-favored that its bullshit. Desert Oasis was terran-favored and they quickly balanced it.
Haha brought the game when it first came out, played a campaign but forgot all about it in the end... guess will play it soon (Starcraft II)
I'd love to play you guys. My ladder only has 16 1v1 games though so I'm inexperienced. I don't think amount of wins decide skill though. If any statistic should, it should be points.
