The Underwater Fishing is located at Maraqua. You can go to it by clicking this link : http://www.neopets.com/water/fishing.phtml This is a place where you can catch rare items (even paintbrushes), but you have to level up your pet's fishing skill before you do so. You gain levels by simply fishing, and when you catch something, your fishing level might go up (you can only gain levels when you catch something). The higher your fishing level, the better items you will catch, although you still have a chance of catching junk items. Also note that each one of your pets has a DIFFERENT fishing skill, and that transferring your pet through the pound will reset it's fishing level.

Q : Is there an ideal wait time between when I should reel in my line?
A : No, but it's generally thought that the longer you wait, the better chance you have of catching something, although you shouldn't wait more than about a day to reel in your line. People have been recorded catching things within two hours of each other, so it never hurts to try a lot.

Q : Is there anything that can help me catch better things at Underwater fishing?
A: No. The only thing that effects what you catch is your fishing level, and how long you wait. Having a certain pet, fishing at X minute of the hour or X second of a minute, or having certain items in your inventory will NOT help you catch anything different. However, if you read the book "Fishing Made Easy", your pet will gain 1-3 fishing levels, but this can only be used once, like all books. Also be sure that you have started fishing with your pet, as it will not gain any fishing levels from the book if you have not started fishing yet.

Q: What exactly can I catch when I fish?
A: There are currently about 90 different items that you can get that are UNIQUE to underwater fishing. Keep in mind that this list is just approximate. I also added an approximate value to items worth noting. The list is as follows (in level then alphabetical order):

Great guide, thanks for actually putting some effort into this.

I personally think you deserve proper thanks, with proper punctuation, spelling and thank you NOT spelt 'thx'.
(Well, the spelled the best i could :p)

You've made the site all the richer for it. Thank you.

Thanks for the replies guys. I updated the guide a little bit, fixed a few redundant lines, and added values for items that had a value of 100 NP or more. Let me know if there's anything else I can add.

Hehe good job! Now all you have to do is earn about 300 more levels before you can be the top fisher! >_> But of course by then the top fisher will have an even higher level...but still >_>

Hmm this is quite helpful :)
Finally a Prize list WITH prices :D

However, im on level 130.. yet to get ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING good from UWF... :|
*sighs* Something good would make all this fishing worth it.

Once you reach a certian level are you able to get then items of the previous levels?
eg: Levels 70-110 seems to be the most profitable any chance ill ever see those items at level 130? Im long gone past...
Thats what id like to know :p

Edit: (off topic) Ive noticed that this guy :p <-- is a CREEP. LOL o_O :maha:
