there should never be an age for that!! it all depends on your spirit! i think you'd still be able to get candy even if you're a granny (as long as you're dressed up well)
i would have to agree with you. elders should not trick or treat but instead hand out candy. while for children up to high school kids, they should trick or treat as long as they have a costume or is dressed up.
the last time i went was sixth grade. i was michael myers muahahahahaaaaa. i was gonna be jack skellington this year but i decided to go to my friends house and go knock peoples trash cans and presidential signs down lol
i had ot laugh at this. i dont think ya can ever really be to old to trick or trat.. i my self trick or treated all the way up till last year.. and no im not saying how old i am but can say im older than 25 lol but after a point ya just get to old to move as fast and not worth the time or pain to still do it
I really don't think there is an age. I don't trick or treat mostly because it seems a waste of time for me to walk around knocking on dorrs and stuff for candy when I can just go to the store. Especially when you hit those old ladies that give out pencils. lol I used to hate that. xD
^Lol wut? Pencils? Lol that's even worse then when I got pennies one year. Seriously >_> Anyway, I think after 14, you should stop. 15-16 is okay I guess, but at 17 I think that's where I would draw the line.
there is an age where it starts to get awkward for an older teen to dress up and ask for candy. if your friends start to have costume parties in doors (and especially if there is alcohol involved), then it is time to stop trick-or-treating and go to those events instead. it's cool to go out with a younger sibling/cousin/friend/neighbour and wear a costume but not with friends...
Those were some good thoughts unsmellable_stank. And if you're going to a costume party then be sure to take effort to dress up real nice. No one likes it when you show up and they can't even tell what you are >_> Plus it just makes you look lame in general.
Well I stopped when I was like 16 cuz I was 2 lazy 2 beg for candy (lol..) But I have some friends now who are 18-22 who still trick or treat with masks on and no 1 knows how old they are.. they never get turned down candy 2 so.. it all depends if you feel like going out or not.
Personally, i have never tricked or treated in my whole life :tehe: (believe it or not, we have to work even on 12/25) but if there is an age limit , i suppose it is 15 yr approximately? :yup:
never!!! people of all ages are able to enjoy candy. but in reality, i dont think i would want to anyway. just work for a lil and go buy candy hahh
Haha, I'm 17 and I go with my friends out trick or treating xD Mind you, it's not with batman costumes and stuff But we still have fun =]
i go with my younger relatives, so i'm never "too old" persay. but i'd say around 18 it looks kind of weird when you go alone
Well it's a form of American culture I suppose so age shouldn't be of the matter here. Though personally it would be more appropriate if the age goes no higher than high schoolers. If some adults or elderly folks take the effort to dress up I wouldn't mind giving them candies though, afterall it is for a festive cause.
Im a senior in high school and I still try every year to trick or treat! I believe when your in school you should be able to. I wouldnt mind if a 20 year old came and trick or treated at my house.
