in singapore it's pretty good.....theres like polyclinics in almost every town where the price of the medicines n check up is pretty cheap. If you're a citizen the final cost would be automatically be cheap unlike in some countries where you have to claim. And every month, our salary kinda deducts a certain % so when smth big happens, we can take that $$ out and spend on medical bills.
im kinda grateful i havent been too unwell, but my mum passed away last august, and visiting her everyday in hospital made me grateful for the NHS, sure, they get slated all the time, but from my own personal experience they have been good, but i have heard some right horror stories o_0
I'd hate to be in Obama's shoes. I think the man is honestly trying to do good for the country and it's a thankless job. The very Americans he's trying to help - the ones who slave away for pennies and can't even afford to pay for health insurance at their jobs, or if they can the plan is so pathetic that the copays, deductibles, and uncovered portions bury them anyway, which hardly matters either way because they can't afford to take the time off of their job to BE sick in the first place - these are the same sub-grade morons who yell that the healthcare reform is a bad idea and that Obama is a bad president, because they're too dumb to know or be taught what's really going on in the world.
For a long time, the US had the best healthcare in the world (if you could afford it). Now that the US government has overhauled the healthcare system, I wonder where the best healthcare workers will go now, now that pretty much all westernized states have a government healthcare program?
The "best health care workers" will not go anywhere. The overwhelming majority of health care workers do not relocate because they are unsatisfied with their pay, otherwise there would be no doctors left in Europe. Even in places like the UK, where doctors earn less than their counterparts elsewhere, the medical profession is still a well-paying job. What other job will earn you at least $100k a year without fail? Besides, Obama's health care reform is too superficial to affect doctors' salaries. If you think the doctors in the US will go somewhere else because of the health care bill, then you're seriously misinformed.
I live in New Zealand, and the healthcare system is very good here. The government heavily subsides it and it is free for young children. And going to the dentist is free for under 18s, but considering I just turned 18 I'll have to pay for astrominical fees to go to the dentist now. ==
Health care system of my country is one of the worst system ever expired medicine are placed in Govt. hospitals and private hospital and looting people with both hands, no kind soul they have.
I agree with you on that. My opinion is that it should be in place in the US. Health care In Australia is good. I top it off with a private health care, it covers me for the extras, less waiting time and specalists. Im kind of glad knowing that even without the private health care that you can still get great treatment. I also feel that having a system in place also reduces other problems like crime, long trem health problems, outbrakes and so on. Everyone benifits from a healther society. If you deny people health care because of lacking money what do you think is going to happen, it will create a devide between the rich and the poor. my 2cents worth.
It is the worst system ever. Anyone can come over here and get free healthcare no matter where you come from. I.e in australia you have to have healthcare plan private to recieve treatment. Uk they give it to anyone it's lacking.
Ther US have the great health care system and there government spend the 15% of there budget to the health care reforms. The citizens are also satisfied with the government health policies.
My opinion of the United States health care system is that it's so corrupt as to the point where a complete restructure is needed. Why are we denying health insurance to those who cannot afford it? That's like saying, "No, we won't help you live." So WHAT if it costs money, it's another human being! If you needed health care but couldn't afford it, you'd be saying the same thing. Also, the "waiting list" for organ donations is simply absurd. Yes, I understand the severe lack of suitable donations, but can't you do something about it? How about investing money (oh no) in artificial organs? Or maybe even better care so that a donation is not required in the first place? Most of the issues surrounding health care is money. Not enough of it, you don't have any of it, we used all of it, blah blah blah. I just hate how the world, specifically the U.S., is so fixated on a worthless piece of paper. A dollar bill has no value, it's just a 'promise to pay.' We no longer have the resources required to back all the money we print. Yes, we're printing fancy I-O-U's. I know I'm going off on a tangent here, so I'll stop. It just really irks me how we've become so lazy and ignorant as to allow this extreme state of corruption to develop in the first place.
I live in Australia. There is very good health system available in Australia. There are many hospitals and doctors available. But Medical Facility of Australia is very costly, so everybody need to take Health Insurance. Emergency service is very good in Australia. It is available for 24 hours at anywhere in Australia.
It's free in denmark, but I needed surgery in my toe, and this guy messed around inside my toe without actually fixing anything. Needed surgery twice more but the last 2 times the doctor actually had a clue as to what he was doing. the only reason I needed surgery the third time was because they didn't want to remove too much of the bone in my toe (I appreciated this) but when it started growing back they had to cut a little bit more off. The ironic part is that people that see my toes think that the unoperated one is my weird toe
Too much bad situation here in my country about security and healthcare, i dont know what will happen with my country
With the Republican party talking about chopping away at Medicare plans (among other things) to pay off national debt, working-class Americans will be up Shyte's Creek without a paddle. I'd make Paul Ryan swallow his teeth if I ever saw him. Small chance of him ever getting that close to a poor person though. These days "Republican politician" means self-centered scumbag. Read what John Adams wrote in a 1776 letter to a friend about what it meant to be a Republican - "There must be a positive Passion for the public good, the public Interest, Honor, Power, and Glory, established in the Minds of the People, or there can be no Republican Government, nor any real Liberty. And this public Passion must be Superior to all private Passions. Men must be ready, they must pride themselves, and be happy to sacrifice their private Pleasures, Passions, and Interests, nay their private Friendships and dearest connections, when they Stand in Competition with the Rights of society." WOW did this country sure tank somewhere between then and now.
