Well AIM is by AOL (America On-Line) so I guess more Americans use that one? I use MSN most often but I have AOL to talk to my American friends MSN has way more features than AIM, I prefer it.
I am using ym but if you want an avatar where you can dress it up, with some nice background while chatting.. imvu is for you..
MSN I think MSN is the most popular because of the interface. AIM looks too sharp and "beta stage" ish. Messenger is much more userfriendly, and has many adjustable interfaces such as colour of background....and of course...MSN SPACE
messenger msn i use. i used to go on the yahoo chat rooms before it changed to the messenger. i dont think i can be bothered downloading anymore crap like the yahoo messenger to slow my computer down. also everyone i know uses msn messenger no strangers or randoms.
