Quite possibly Enter Shikari, if it must be a band and not an artist. If not them, then mayyyyyyyybe Death Cab at this particular moment. Maybe not.

My favorite band of all time is Jimmie's Chicken Shack and if you haven't heard of them visit their Myspace page and check them out. ;) It's sort of like a cross between grunge and classic rock. :)

Coming in a close second is Rehab because every single one of their songs, minus the new one getting mtv play edited as heck, kicks serious butt. I love their song 'Graffiti the World'. :)

Yay! Go rock! I usually listen to Saving Abel but when I want to relax I fall asleep to some Andy Mckee.

My favorite band as of now is the Offspring. They're one of the few bands I know of that has a good hand full of good songs every album.

I don't really like the fact that Rap, Hip-Hop and R & B are all separate choices here. They should all be grouped together in my opinion, if you're going to group Rock as one. I don't think you can group something like Dashboard Confessional or Death Cab in the same group (Rock) as say, Propagandhi or Slayer.

Screw that, I don't really like genres in general.

Music is like a colour palate. It transitions slowly, and there are not only different colours (types of music) but different shades (intensity, loudness, tempo, etc).

Oh wow, i just had a fun idea. Give me two bands, and I'll do degrees of separation for "this sounds like this", and so on. Just to prove the whole gradual transition thing.

Now for my actual opinions. My favourite artists right now are:

Relient K, Brand New, Weakerthans, Thursday, Thrice, Barenaked Ladies, Bryan Adams, Jimmy Eat World. All pretty mainstream stuff.

I'm really really digging The All American Rejects new album "When the World Comes Down". It releases on Dec 16, it leaked a few days ago.
The new Fall out Boy album is junk.

I like a lot of bands... if I had to pick a favourite it would probably be Apoptygma Berzerk because of the fond memories I associate the band with.
