I couldn't handle a job like that.. people being rude to me.. and hanging up? I'll just call them back and harass them some more. :)

i've had some bullshit jobs like having to work at restaurants but the past few years i have been doing freelance security analyst work for major game companies which has been a lot more appealing and fun. :)

I used to replace watch batteries and sell prints and paintings.
Now I work in a chocolate factory! Cadbury's. It's awesome.

Very true. But don't be fooled by the facade of thinking "Oh, if I get into a nice restaurant, with alcohol sales to boost my check. Think again. Think: I have to tip out like mad, the bartender AND the hostess."

I worked at a place that served alcohol, and could work a double and walk out with 45 dollars... And I worked in a place that was like a low-priced family style restaurant and work for 5 hours and walk out with 50 dollars.

So keep that in mind if you ever get into waitstaff.

What kind of business, if you don't mind me asking? Oh, and were you like a part-time receptionist? I was considering applying for a full-time receptionist job but I don't know how much they'd be paying me.
