i worked at a black light miniature golf place for about a year. i gotta say, that was THE best first job ever. then i worked at spencer's gifts, but i left after a day because the assistant manager was a complete butt. :nope:
It is but I guess not many nice people know how to be assertive, either. I'm nice but if I was in a position like that, people under me would eat me alive. lol.. So I guess being an ass makes sense but seriously, they need to turn it off sometimes!
i agree. i guess there's a fine line between being a doormat so people like you, and being an ass so you're successful. the main problem with my assistant manager, though, was that she was a LOT like me. it was almost scary. i mean, i'd seriously hate working with me if i was someone else, haha.
I work in a boutique part time (funding my degree), where I get abused by the upper middle classes for £6p/h. Don't do it. Retail blows.
16 and here are my jobs I've done: -Worked at Dad's shop fixing and delivering lawnmowers as well as small appliances and stuff. -Worked as a cashier at Safeway for 6 months. -Currently employeed at Starbucks, I love it. It's not much, but considering my age I think it's pretty decent.
Work in a pet shop! Or breed them. My mom used to have 107 of them. 7 were pets and the rest were for breeding.
Wow. 107 is too many! I always wanted to work at a pet store but no one would hire me, for some stupid reason.
i worked at maccas a chicken restaurant and now i work in a video store it is by far the best job i have ever had. Very easy and you can basically tell the customers to get stuffed if they are anoying
