I'm actually between Windows Vista and Windows 7. I have the beta for Windows 7, but I don't use it that often. It's awesome though Gonna wait for Windows 7 to be released before I buy my new computer anyways...
I've been testing the Windows 7 RC for a few weeks and REALLY like it. If you know me (which I'm assuming that since I am new, there is only one other person here that does), this should be a shock. I haven't looked forward to a windows version since windows 98 came out, and really felt let down then. I've been testing the 7RC and realize that it's just Vista with LOTS of changes, but the changes that were made were the changes that were needed, imo. Has anyone else here tested it and, if so, what is the number one thing you like about 7's changes?
I use Vista and I love it. I like the Aero design despite it sucking up a lot of the computer's resources. I am also not a player of graphic hungry games so its fine for me
XP FTW! Well mainly because I've never had any troubles with it. Sure, it doesn't have photobooth, but hey. It works. And it's the only one i've ever used. "Tried and True" i believe the saying is?
Linux Fedora Core 10 and XP...none of my machines will ever run vista it will either be XP64 or Windows7 if I need more memory/CPU power. Vista is the new Windows ME.
I use all of these: Mac OS Windows Vista Windows XP Vista i use to ab neopets or run some other bot on games though it is generally inconsistent and buggy XP is my main gaming computer. Games other than internet ones on the mac i surf the web and watch stuff on youtube, but if it overheats really fast if i game on it
Using Xp on 3 computers and will probably upgrade to 7 when it comes out. Also using Gentoo and Slackware on another computer.
Currently using windows xp. I had vista when it first came out, but because of the bugs i downgraded back to xp and kept with it since.
I'm using a mac, os 10.5 but I'm on a fairly old computer, so my internet is lackluster. but my mac has lasted longer than most windows will.
I have XP and Windows 7, and I did have a Ubuntu laptop, but it crashed... Literally, it was sitting on the couch and fell off (I still can't believe I left it on the arm of the couch)... It fell DIRECTLY on the power plug, shoved the plug into the PCB [...] , there was little hope... I just left it alone and will use it for parts, it was old any way...
For the very same reason, im still using windows xp too. My computer crashed 2 times because of some service pack I installed ( both times caused by this very same update ), and vista couldnt handle it. Didnt do a thing, I could not even get it to work, it was just dead. Ive experienced a lot of computercrashes in my time, but this was by far the worst, nothing I or the mechanic could do to fix it.
I have Windows 7 on my laptop, Vista and Ubuntu on my desktop, but I like Windows 7 the best...It's fast, clean and easy to use.
