What's your opinion on " chatspeak " ?

    chatspeak is awful. i used to use it, but the habit dropped off somewhere along the way. i guess i type slower having to think about whats the abbreviation for a certain word. however, one habit that i picked up instead is not using capital letters :lol: :lol:

    the thing that i dont understand even more is why people tYpE lIkE tHiS. it irritates me terribly, is harder to read, and takes thrice as long to type. so why bother? :?

    very good point here, i speak 4 languages fully, but sometime i cant help chat speak, even writing this post i i almost wrote a few wprds in chat speak, and seen as i spend alot of time online i see it alot too, im not surprised that happens, as said, languae is progressing, and not just english, but in many other languages too.

    1 th1nk 1t i5 0kay to us3 som3t1m3s but at others it gets anoyying. Lik3 when you are trying to discuss a legit topic but the other person is using it and every other IM/Mail is what are you talking about

    I hope you were kidding pepsi! Because I could barely understand what you were just typing. I think that abbreviations like lol, omg or whatever are ok. but using numbers in place of letters like 3 for E and using caps for every other letter is just plain annoying!
