When someone tells you to pick from a list of choices..

I usually just go with my gut felling but when im spinning a wheel or picking a number out a hat i close my eyes blow in my hand and spin or take a card from the hat. That is just me but most of the time i just go with my gut feeling.

 

I walk several hundred miles, ask a moose, walk back, and say 74

I'd say guy feeling for me, unless there's two options that I equally really like, then I'd close my eyes and point or something. Unless it's a really pointless decision, then I just do random cuz its more fun and won't really effect me.

 

They are just harmless choices...do you really think people would go by random if it was a serious decision? Choosing at random at times doesn't mean you have a bad outlook on life. It's not like you know me as a whole, so technically you can't say i'm "trying to avoid blame" ? There's no damn "WRONG" for choosing the wrong thing for a question like "What sorta candy do I wanna buy today?" is there? Look at it from a further point of view..obviously I am talking about small fry things. Does everything always have to be so serious? Even if I was like that as a person, does that really matter to you? Don't step all over people's live and say what's right or wrong, and how I don't like inflicting blame so that's WHY.

I usually go with my gut feeling....

 

I'd chose my favourite if it wasn't a complex choice, however,

If it was some other more complex choice, I would go with my gut feeling, because I'm usually right when I do so. xD I think people should always go with their gut feeling, most of the time it's the right decision to make, as Epsilon points out above.

 

My first thought is usually what I go by.
But, I'm wrong three fourths of the time.

Like, on a test if I'm unsure, I usually go with 'C'
If heads or tails, I usually go with heads
On a number 1-100, I usually go with 2

I usually use the "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" method,
even for those multiple-choice questions in exams. ( When I don't know how to do )

But I would always laugh at myself when I get it wrong. :/

 

I am the most indecisive person I know. I've paced back and forth in the grocery store for half an hour trying to decide what candy I want. I always think "What if later I wish I had chosen something else?" So I put back what I have tentatively chosen, and look for something better.

Same with fortune cookies at the ends of meals I can't ever pick one so I make the other people choose and I choose last. So I guess I dilly dally until I am forced to make a hasty decision.

 

I would go with my gut feeling. I hate picking random, because then I'll just start over until I get what my gut feeling is xD But it kinda depends. If it was between numbers, I'd just choose a random number. If it was what car I wanted, I would go with my gut feeling - probably check for pros and cons at each car first ^^

 

In regards to the test questions and whatnot, it's funny because our professor discussed that with us last week (because it was midterms). They were saying they did some tests in our medical science building with students and exams and they found that those who stuck with their first choice on questions (instead of going back and changing) usually got the answers correct more times than those who changed it.

I personally usually go with my gut, unless one of the choices pop up a lot throughout the day (like if I wake up at exactly 10, then later see the number 10 again and again). Bit weird of me

I'm so so so indecisive, I'd probably go random if I really had to

 

I pick my favorite number out of them all usually. Like 1-3, I like 3, and 1-10, it would be 9. Always.

 

Here's how choosing works for me...
I try to go with my gut feeling, then I'll sit there and think about it for a while, then mentally list the advantages and disadvantages of each choice, then I usually end up just going with whatever I was going to pick first anyway.

But...if i'm dealing with numbers, I'll always pick an even number.

 

I close my eyes and pick the first thing [say number] in my head....

I usually just go with my gut feeling.
However, if there's any inkling of strategy that could be used to improve my chance of winning, say, for an example guess the number, if someone guesses 8, I would immediately guess 7 to increase my chances

 

if it has to do with numbers, i always go with eight xD

 

i would usually go with my gut feeling if its 1-10...but if its 1-100...i would probably pick my favorite number which would be 15!
