Me and my friends were on the road pretty much all summer :) We visited Stockholm by boat, spent Midsummer's Eve at a summer home intoxicated and hitch-hiked our way to Lapland.

I travel rarely abroad. Being poor sucks..

I swear I replied here before.
Yeah I plan on taking a trip to California this year. Meaning O9 I suppose since O8 is coming to an end.
I dunno places, but LA for sure, and somewhere close to Berkeley called Castro Valley.
Also summer..I go to Hong Kong as usual, and probably taking a trip to Japan for the second time.
I better be planting some money trees to go such places :maha:

My family and I go to wisconsin every other year to visit family and friends. We always stay on this small, shallow lakeside where a relative owns a cabin. Great place, except no plumbing.

Lol that must suck. So you guys can't wash your hands, take showers, or use the bathroom while you're there? >_>

Technically we can wash our hands, because theres a well that we can draw water from, though I don't know if that counts as plumbing. If we want showers we have to drive in to my grandparents' house, which is about an hour away from there. As for the bathroom issue, that too is 'technically' not a problem. There's an outhouse about twenty yards from the cabin, but if you're thinking of a Port-A-Potty, think again. I mean its a wood shack surrounding a toilet seat built over a hole in the ground. Since its outdoors, massive spiders tend to move in, and I'm fairly sure its been there at least 50 years or more

Even that has some funny memories to it though. There was one year my eldest sister took her son out there before bed. She took a flashlight so they could see the path to the outhouse, but once they got there she accidentally dropped it down the hole. Thus the disgusting innards of the structure were in full illumination until the batteries finally wore out [...]

On the other hand, it's the one time of the year that my entire family on my father's side gathers together. The lake water is usually perfect, every year my uncle comes out with his boat so we can do skiing or wakeboarding, and everyone takes turns fixing up lunch and dinner, so we get nice assortments of food. Plus on Fridays we go out to this great local place for the all-you-can-eat fish fry. Absolutely yummy :p

I haven't had my holidays yet! But I do get to take a two week break in January. I cannot wait! I live in Australia and will be visiting Sydney for a family celebration. I am looking forward to shopping, eating out and basically doing nothing for two wonderful weeks.

If I could choose any vacation though, I'd go where it snows. I have never seen snow!
