The chicken came first. Why? Well if there were no chickens there would be no eggs. Well, where did the chicken come from? The chicken, I believe, is an evolution from another animal.
If you think of it in terms of evoloution, the most recent offspring will be the closest thing to being a chicken, so the egg came first, as it contained the most evolved form of a chicken You could say though that yesterday's chicken was a chicken and that today's chicken is some subspecies technically after one day of evoloution, but still the egg already came before the chicken
My brain hurts now. XD I've always thought that the 'chicken' came first. Simply put, I think the 'chicken' at first didn't lay eggs but eventually it evolved and then layed eggs. also if you think of the 'egg' as a zygote/gamete/whatever you can easily argue that there must have been atleast two 'chickens' around to make that 'egg'. lol
um as I see it the egg came first. the egg didn't have to come exactly from a chicken but a lesser evolved creature. this creature gave birth to an egg that had a few messed up chromosomes which created our chicken that we know of now. the whole laying of eggs was a trait that was kept when it evolved.
I'd never really thought about that before...i guess i've always been taught that some "Higher Being" put the egg there.
I'd say the egg came first. A bunch of who-knows-what natural material might have fused and created the egg. And then the chicken hatched from the egg.
its already obvious that chicken come first. when God Created the world he added animals .include chicken,, and then chicken lays egg.. so chicken comes first
Maybe when god created them they appeared as eggs then hatched , the Bible isn't so good with some specific details
