Back in the day (and I am talking 3 or 4 years back) I would have said Sneggs. They were incredibly cheap and you could do maybe 3 or 4 a day without costing too much or making your pet bloated

I dont really have too much experience with the lab ray, but ive found that dubloons are usually cheaper than codestones (though i stumble across codestones more often in RE's but still) so idk i go with dubloons (I like the cap'n better anyway heh...call me a neo-racist arrrg) -hops on peg leg-

I would say that for consistent training to use dubloons at first, then switch to codestones. I have one codestone/dubloon training pet and one lab ray pet. My codestone/dubloon training pet is better.

Lab Rays the most effective option. The cheapest to create infinite stats while they may decrease, they also will increase, it just takes patience and a while because the Lab Rays activities are completely random

I used the lab ray for a long time on one of my accounts, but it can often be a pain for a long time which put me off a bit, but I would have to agree that it is cheaper if you are patient.

    LABRAY all the way!

Not only will you get boost in skills but you do get the times when your neopets changes fourms. and it always gives you something to look foward to.

Labray by far just because of the variety of different things that happen.

I've only ever used lab ray... though I depise the "and they go down to level 1" option I seem to get so very regularly!

I'm not a big BDer, but I use the lab ray to train just in case I feel like fighting someday...

Lab ray works if you are a risk taker.
I wouldn't want to screw up my little katcheek though so I would just use codestones.

At the cost all those codestones are going to cost you, you might just buy a Kacheek Morphing Potion for around 300K and save it for later.

Build up all your stats, even if it changes, and then once you like your stats... Kacheek Morphing Potion

But then you can't do any serious BDing in the meantime, since you'll likely be without the Kacheek healer most of the time. Scorchstones (with the exception of jade) just can't compete with the % healers for species.

In 5 years... I haven't been to the BD once, so you'd know a lot more than I would on that subject. I just like pets with awesome stats.

I prefer lab ray just because its a one time cost and it can change your pets color etc.
