IMHO I'll bet you a million np's that once they release Vista, they'll have a security update within a month and there will be lists on different hacker boards telling about all the security threats Vista is vunerable to. There's still lists now on security vunerablilites to XP that MS never bothered getting around to fixing. The rule: All software is only as good as it's last version number
IF that were the case then there'd be no point in upgrading software at all.... and number two did you read what I said? you know... about Microsoft pushing the release back?.... on top of that do you even know why Microsoft os'es seem "bad"? it's because they're the most used, and they're the most attacked, if either osx or Linux were as widely used as windows you'd be damn sure to see security holes in those os'es... so it's a given, no matter how much they work on it, but you should see far less holes in vista.... quite a bit has changed in the time since xp was released... Microsoft actually has some competition to fend off now
linux!! it cant have viruses and programs charges very quick, and since i have it it NEVER crashed =) the only problem its the less programs that can work in it...
I love Windows XP professional just for the fact you can do easy home networking. Simple yet effective.
I have XP Media Center Edition (it's what came on my laptop). I'm considering switching to linux though which is what I had on my last computer.
