I don't think wire tapping should be allowed, mainly because if they're a citizen of the US, they have rights that should be in effect that allow their personal privacy, even if they may be in a red zone and under investigation, they should certainly find a different way than to go through personal conversations.

BUT -- if they're in the US and not a legal citizen then I believe they have no US rights, therefor can and should be investigated with the full force of the law, right or wrong. o_O

--basically saying, I don't like people that are illegally here--

If you have nothing to hide from the government, and if the government has a good reason to act on, then why not?
    Its results would only benefit.

i don't know how I feel about it.
I mean, don't you think most terrorist and people would use cell phones, which the government (I think) doesn't tap?
and what happens if you hear a drug conversation going on?
could you be arrested for that?
it's just scary where this could go.

i think being wire tapped is an invasion of privacy but thats not going to stop the government...it controls us...we do not control it but you know but then again the wire tapping issue might be aprt of the patriot act...you know the big blank check handed over to congress to spend how ever much it takes to keep us safe.....but im not going any furtherer into the matter
